Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy covers a private, self-hosted installation of Postiz, an open-source social media scheduling tool. It is operated by one individual for their own use. It has a single account, holds no other users, and is not open to public registration.

 

2. What data is handled

When the operator connects one of their own social media accounts, the following is stored on the operator's own machine: an access token and refresh token issued by that platform; the account identifier, display name and avatar URL, used to show which account is connected; publicly available statistics for that account (such as follower and video counts) where the operator has granted the relevant scope; and content the operator has authored and scheduled, including any images or video files they upload.

 

3. Whose data it is

All of the above relates exclusively to the operator's own accounts. No data belonging to any other person is collected, requested, processed or stored. No visitor data, analytics or tracking of any kind is collected.

 

4. Where it is stored

Data is stored in a database on the operator's own computer. Uploaded media may be stored in a private object-storage bucket controlled by the operator. Nothing is sold, shared, or transferred to any third party.

 

5. How it is used

Solely to publish the operator's own scheduled content to the operator's own connected accounts, and to display those accounts in the operator's dashboard. Data is never used for advertising, profiling or resale.

 

6. Retention and deletion

Tokens are retained until the operator disconnects the account or revokes access from the platform's own settings, at which point they cease to be valid. The operator can delete any stored content or media at any time by removing it from the installation.

 

7. Third-party platforms

Publishing sends the operator's content to the destination platform, where that platform's own privacy policy applies.

 

8. Changes

This policy may be updated at any time. The revision date above reflects the current version.
